Kathryn Brockmeyer

Katie earned her BA in Physics from Williams College, where she investigated the randomness of rainfall on short spatiotemporal scales with Professor Katharine Jensen and contributed to building an ultrafast laser system for electron diffraction studies of phonon dynamics with Professor Catherine Kealhofer. In 2024, she joined the Seshadri Group in the UC Santa Barbara Materials Department, where her research focuses on applying X-ray crystallography and Raman spectroscopy to characterize new anode materials for sodium-ion batteries.
